Project Description
The Gerbang@USM development is a comprehensive mixed-use project designed to enhance commercial, recreational, and student living facilities. It includes a hypermarket, commercial shop and office lots, a sports complex, a petrol station, a fast-food restaurant, and a floating surau. Additionally, the development features Laman Nadi, an open space designated for food trucks, night markets, car boot sales, bazaars, and various community events.

As part of the project, a purpose-built student accommodation complex will be developed, comprising 200 standard rooms, 156 executive rooms, 44 suites, and 20 family units, providing a total capacity for 1,000 students. This initiative aims to create a well-integrated, dynamic environment that supports both student life and the surrounding community.

The UUM University City Mixed-Use Development is a visionary 150-acre, world-class academic and innovation hub, master-planned for phased development over 10 years. Seamlessly integrating educational, residential, commercial, and recreational spaces, it fosters a vibrant live-learn-work-play ecosystem.

Key components include modern student hostels, thoughtfully designed to provide safe, comfortable, and convenient on-campus living that enhances the student experience. The development also features a dedicated incubator hub to nurture startups, encourage innovative, and promote industry-academia collaboration.

With sustainability at its core, the project incorporates green-certified buildings, smart mobility solutions, renewable energy integration, and eco-friendly infrastructure – setting a new benchmark for sustainable urban development and academic excellence in the region.

World-Class AI R&D Centre

Project Management Consultancy (PMC) for World-Class Artificial Intelligence R&D Centre
Project Description
Syntiant is a leading provider of ultra-low-power, high-performance deep learning processors for edge AI applications, enabling always-on voice, sensor, audio, and image capabilities across markets such as mobile, wearables, and IoT. The company is backed by prominent investors including Intel Capital, Microsoft’s M12, Applied Ventures, Robert Bosch Venture Capital, the Amazon Alexa Fund, and Atlantic Bridge Capital.

This project involves the conversion and expansion of an existing warehouse and factory into a state-of-the-art cleanroom facility, supporting Syntiant’s advanced artificial intelligence research and development operations.

The scope includes Addition & Alteration (A&A) works as well as major infrastructure and system upgrades, such as:
  • CSA and Cleanroom– architectural and structural modifications to accommodate cleanroom expansion and upgrade, including new canteen and sport facilities; Cleanroom upgrade from existing ISO 7 (Class 10K) to ISO 6 (Class 1K)
  • HVAC, Smoke Spill and Chilled Water/Condenser Water System
  • Process Mechanical System- Process Exhaust, Process Vacuum, Process Cooling Water 
  • Electrical, ELV and BMS system
  • Process Utility System- RODI, WWTP, Bulk Gas

  • Given the fast-track schedule and tight timeline, our PMC team will ensure seamless planning, coordination, and execution of all A&A and utility works, delivering a facility that meets Syntiant’s high standards for quality, reliability, and performance.
